The British Discus Show 2009 - What's On.

The show takes place over two days, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November 2009.

The show is open to the general public on Saturday 28th November and Sunday 29th November. There are a number of events taking place throughout the show and these are time tabled below.

There will be around 72 world class fish in competition to see, divided into 6 classes. See the Show Classes page for more details.

We will have the best names in the discus trade with plenty of high quality discus to buy, including Discus South and Devotedly Discus already confirmed.

And of course the BIDKA team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Benching of show fish will take place on the preceding day, Friday 27th November from 3:30pm onwards. Benching should be completed by 6pm. If you have any questions about benching of fish please email us at info@british-discus-show.com

Friday

  • 1:30pm onwards open for benching for competitors only
Saturday
  • 9:30am The Show opens to the public
  • 1:00pm Andrew Soh lecture – Creating Designer Discus
  • 3:30pm Jorg Stendker - Diskuszucht Stendker from beginning to now
  • 4:00pm Rosettes and winners published
  • 5:00pm The show closes for the day
  • 7:30pm for 8:00pm The Show Dinner!!
Sunday
  • 10:00am The Show opens to the public
  • 11:00am Jeffrey Tan lecture
  • 1:00pm Dr. Peter Burgess - Parasites of discus and other fish
  • 3:00pm Presentations and Prize giving
  • 3:30pm Show fish de-benching
  • 16:30pm The 2009 Show closes.

Entrance

Weekend pass with entry to the show and all the lectures: Adults £10, Under 14 Free.
